Recital Costume: Each dancer will need one costume. The cost is $75 For the dancer who can't get enough hip hop! This is a 30-minute class that will explore the world of hip hop using street inspired steps and music. Each class will perform 1 hip hop routine in the spring recital.

Barre, Centre, and "across the floor" work will be emphasized. Some dance combinations will also be taught. This is a graded class. Students are required to obtain a certain skill set before advancing to the next level. There are 4 levels of ballet at Dance Express. All ballet classes will be a part of our ballet production which is featured in all our spring recitals. Ballet classes are 60 min. per week. Attire:

Come and explore the world of theater from a dancer's perspective. Sing, Dance to your favorite musicals. Each Musical Theater class will perform 1 dance in the spring recital with the addition of the group finale dance. Theater class is 30 min. per week.

This class is for dancers to learn the proper techniques and skills used for tumbling. The class will work on, but is not limited to, cartwheels, walkovers, handsprings, and aerials. Since this is not a performance based class, the instructor can use the entire class to help perfect tumbling skills. Tumbling for Dancers is 60 min. per week.

Register Here! This class is designed for the more serious student who wishes to strengthen the fundamentals basic technique. Since this is a non-performance based class, the instructor is able to spend the entire dance year focusing on the proper technique that can be applied to all forms of dance. This is a graded class meaning that students are required to obtain a certain skill set before advancing to the next level. There are 4 levels of technique at Dance Express. Technique classes are 60 min. per week.

Recreational teams will serve a variety of needs: 1) for the “NEW TO TEAMS” dancer that wants a good starting point. 2) For a dancer scoring below the DXP Line requirements--ballet is strongly recommended 3) for the EXISTING TEAM dancer that needs to cut back his/her schedule to allow for sports or to ease up on the financial obligation. All teams will compete in 1 regional competition as well as be doing local performances. NO required additional classes, with the option of adding recreational specialty teams. We try to offer these types of classes on the same day and close to the same time as the team you are on. Team practices meet 1 time per week for 90 minutes. WE ALSO HAVE RECREATIONAL HIP HOP AND LYRICAL TEAMS! Recreational Hip Hop/Recreational Lyrical teams will compete at 1 regional competition as well as be doing local performances. Both Hip Hop and Lyrical Recreational team dancers will be required to be on a Recreational team or DXP Line. Lyrical Recreational dancers are encouraged to take one ballet class. Each teams practices meet 1 time per week for 60 min. More information can be found HERE! DXP Lines are designed for the serious, high-caliber dancer. All teams will compete in 3 regional competitions as well as be doing local performances. Required additional classes: 1 ballet class with the option of adding specialty teams.
